Proper use and maintenance of backpack spray can extend its service life and reduce maintenance costs. The precautions for use are introduced as follows.
Precautions for use
When using it formally, add the medicine first and then the water, and ensure that the liquid level of the medicine does not exceed the safety water level line. Before spraying, pull the control lever more than 10 times to increase the air pressure inside the cylinder to the working pressure. Do not apply excessive force when pulling the control handle to prevent the air chamber from exploding.
During the initial filling process of the liquid medicine, due to the presence of clear water in the air chamber and spray bar, the concentration of the sprayed liquid medicine is relatively low during the first 2-3 minutes of spraying. Therefore, attention should be paid to re-spraying to avoid affecting the pest control effect.
After the work is completed, the remaining liquid medicine in the bucket should be poured out in a timely manner, rinsed with clean water, and drained. At the same time, check whether there is water accumulation in the gas chamber. If there is water accumulation, the water connector should be removed to release the water.
If the sprayer is not to be used in the short term, the main components should be cleaned, dried, and stored in a cool, dry place. If it is not to be used for an extended period, all metal parts should be coated with butter to prevent rust.
Common faults and troubleshooting methods
Common faults and troubleshooting methods during use include insufficient spray pressure and poor atomization. If the inlet ball valve is lifted by dirt, the inlet valve should be removed and the dirt cleaned off with a cloth; if the leather cup is damaged, a new one can be replaced; if the connection is not fitted with a sealing ring, or if there is air leakage due to a damaged sealing ring, a sealing ring can be added or replaced.
It cannot be sprayed as mist
If the inclined hole of the nozzle body is blocked by dirt, it can be cleared; if the spray hole is blocked, it can be disassembled for cleaning, but hard objects such as iron wires or copper needles should not be used to poke the hole to prevent the spray hole from expanding and the spray quality from deteriorating; if the filter screen inside the housing is blocked or the water valve ball is lifted, the filter screen should be cleaned and the dirt on the lifted ball should be cleaned off.
If the switch is leaking or cannot be turned, and if the switch cover is not tightened, the switch cover should be tightened; if the gasket on the switch core is worn, the gasket should be replaced; if the switch has been placed for a long time or used for an extended period, the switch core may become stuck due to chemical corrosion and cannot be turned. The parts should be removed and cleaned with kerosene or diesel; when it is difficult to remove, it can be soaked in kerosene for a while before being removed. Do not use hard objects to strike it.
If water leaks from each connecting part due to loose joints, tighten the nuts; if the gasket is not flat or damaged, ensure it is flat or replace the gasket; if the gasket shrinks and hardens due to drying, soften it with animal oil before use.
